Grandma's Tatted Cross

I started this cross
two years ago,
but put it down
when the knitting needles took over.
A couple of days ago
I found myself, shuttle in hand.
Just like riding a bike,
it came back to me.

I made it using
one of my grandmother's
tatted crosses for a pattern.
I've seen many cross patterns online,
but none quite like Grandma's.

It's very pretty! Which thread did you use? I'd like to see if I have some in my stash!

Thanks everybody! It means a lot to me to have tatted Grandma's pattern.

Diane, the thread is Lizbeth Grape Pizazz #40. I got a free sample a few years ago. It's the only size 40 I have. I'll need to go smaller to match Grandma. She must have used size 80. I've never had much success with thread that fine though...
