Wrap It Up, I'll Take It!

I'm stringing beads for my latest take-along project!  I'll be using a #20 Lizbeth thread and some  SPARKLIER THAN THE PICTURE SHOWS beads to make a very simple edging of rings and chains.  I like to keep an easy-peasy project with me when I'm out and about.  I am SHAMELESS about pulling a piece of tatting out to complete even a SINGLE ring when the opportunity arises because I have learned not to count on too much quiet tatting time at home... You would not BELIEVE the interruptions which have occurred while I have typed these few lines!  REALLY.  So here's to long lines and packed parking lots... I may make a few poor gift choices for Christmas so I can enjoy some quality time returning them!

I love the combination of the thread color and those sparkly beads. You must have something festive in mind for that fancy edging and you're so fast -- I know we'll be seeing something soon.

I rarely get interrupted at home anymore -- sometimes I actually miss it!

Hi Martha!
I have always been a big fan of the color brown - I especially like it with pinks and blues. I don't know how fast this edging will go though because I am trying to change a couple of my tatting habits for the better. I do have an idea percolating in the back of my mind for a top or jumper for one of the girls.

I know what you mean about missing the ruckus - after a two hour break I am usually ready to reenter the fray!

Ohhh, Mr. Poe, another raven in our midst!

I LOVE the colours! I, too, am a big fan of brown, which I use a lot mixed with pink, for The Boss. Of course, I do not use it for the boys, although I like a bit of pink for boyish things, but the parents rule!!!

Good for you! I take my wee tatting bag EVERYWHERE, these days. There is always lot of waiting everywhere these days, and I can get a lot done - even if it is just retro-tatting!(There is always, unfortunately way too much of that!)

I am most curious to see what you are going to create with those yummy beads!

Hello Fox!
Brown IS great isn't it! It's the perfect foil for so many colors - makes them POP!

I LOVE travel tatting - I strung beads today while waiting in the car. Actually on the go retro-tatting makes me pretty happy. I hate having the time at home to sit down for a good long tat and having to start with fixing something - it feels like SUCH a waste!

Quoth the raven, "NEVERMORE."

Thank you Tatting Chic!
It's going to be a very simple edging. I'm hoping the beads will give it a little splash of color and some interest.
