Not that I think Fox is crazy...
On the contrary, she is FULL of good ideas.
One of which is tatting at the coffee house.
I put my own spin to it though,
changing coffee to tea,
and tatting to sewing.
My husband abruptly told me today to,
"Get out of the house."
Not for good,
just a couple hours.
He worries about my sanity
and felt I needed a break
because it's been a week
and I've been SO tired.
He's a good man.
With nowhere else to go,
I decided to pull a Fox
and go to Starbucks
where I worked on a tatting press
for that crazy-in-a-good-way, Fox.
I'm making a few of these
to go with the tutorial
and I told Fox she could have her choice,
but I'm taking that back now.
I like this one VERY much
so it will be hers.
Sorry Fox...
but them's the breaks... :)
Starbucks has good tea too. Don't you already have a tutorial for this? Or were you promising one and just now getting to it? Not complaining - I just don't remember! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHey Gina!
ReplyDeleteI'm quick to promise, but SLOOOOOOW to deliver... I'm back to it though and just thinking through a couple hard-to-explain points. Making a few while I go. Practice makes (close enough) to perfect!

You're right! That in-the-works press looks just darling! Lucky Fox!
ReplyDeleteAnd lucky you, too! For getting out of the house.
Thanks Isdihara!
ReplyDeleteSome public solitude, tea and needle-and-thread time really works wonders. Didn't even realize I needed it!
:) Ann
I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteThanks also for the terrific affirmation of ... ahem, "crazy-in-a good-way"!
Fox : )
Glad you like it Fox! I gotta say, I was a little worried about the stripe I paired with the floral, but I'm liking it allot now. Maybe I just haven't indulged my sweet tooth enough lately (what I liar I am), but it makes me think of a box of fancy chocolates.
ReplyDeleteYou are crazy-in-the-BEST-way Fox!
:) Ann
That sounds like a lovely way to spend a few hours! I hope Starbucks isn't too far away... our closes one takes 40 minutes to get to. Now, if I lived near my daughter Andrea, there's a lovely little coffee shop about 3 minutes from her house. Maybe I should move to Minnesota! Oh, wait... I think I'm moving to Texas. ; )
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the tutorial. I think the stripes with the floral looks fabulous!
Hey Diane!
ReplyDeleteForty minutes? I'd brew my own and sit on the porch (which I do most days anyway). My Starbucks is 5 minutes away depending on time of day, OR I could go to the Starbucks in the grocery store which is in the same shopping center if I need an avacado or something.
I'd come to Texas - blistering heat trumps blustering cold for me!
:) Ann
