This is No. 52 - A Tatted Edging from
Edited by Barbara Foster.
LOTS of pretty patterns in this book!
I was using up some thread left over on a shuttle
while waiting for Baby Doll at the
She LOVES the dentist,
but I was afraid the honeymoon would be over
after yesterday's appointment
because she needed a filling.
She was happy as a lark after her appointment though,
with painted nails, a bouncy ball and a balloon bird,
and her "special cleaning" went very well.
On the sock front,
we have a HEEL!
Erm, and a couple little holes,
and it is kinda tight
BUT
the good news is that I think I know
where I made my mistakes
AND
like I said, we have a HEEL!
So we're still in the game...

Hmm... maybe I'll have to look through that book again. It's been a while!
The socks look great!
Very pretty edging - do you have a plan to use it on something?
Sounds like you have a great dentist if Baby Doll loves going so much. Did she really get her nails painted there?
Glad the knitting is going well - I am still successfully avoiding that hobby :)

Hi Diane! Do have another look at that book. There are quite a few things in it that I would like to tat. Thanks for the sock encouragement!
Hi Cindy!
No plans for the edging. I only had enough thread for about a 5 inch length. Baby Doll really did get her nails done at the dentist. Her dentist had bad teeth problems when she was a little girl and loved her dentist so much that she wanted to become one herself. She tries very hard to make going to the dentist a positive experience. The Ortho is another story though.

Great job!!! On the dentist front and on the sock. :)
I am impressed. :)

I love you!

excellent job on the dentist adventure !
your sock is looking very nice, that is something I always wanted to try, I have bought a couple books, but as of yet have still to try. looking forward to seeing them completed :D
Sounds like you have a great dentist. Your edging looks lovely and I really like the way you've displayed it. As to knitting, that's a hobby I tried in high school but it never really 'grabbed' me. I knitted just enough to make me really appreciate the efforts of others. Is that Baby Doll modeling your lovely sock?
That border is very pretty!
The socks - nice work! I'll bet Baby Doll is excited to have the completed pair.
I never did get the hang of knitting from the toe up. The socks never seemed to fit as well as the top down ones did. Have you tried both methods?
