I've been hanging out with
Angeline
for a bit now.
She's pretty cool.
I like her a lot.
Her love of tatting
is
totally contagious
even
thirty years later.
I look in wonder
at this book
which she self-published.
SO MUCH WORK
went into this labor of love.
I love that she took the time
to lay out some pages
in a special way,
and that no mistake
was too small
to fix.
(whatever kind of glue THAT is, I NEED some)
Imagine if she had been
able to use
a
computer...
I think she would
have had
colorful tatting
LEAPING OFF THE PAGE.
But, even in black and white,
and without
the tricks of today's graphics,
Let's Tat
is a GREAT book,
because
Angeline Crichlow's
passion for tatting
comes through
loud and clear.
I'm thankful
she wrote it
and that
generously
sent her copy on
such an
so tatters like
myself
could enjoy it
and perhaps be inspired
to share their
love of tatting.
How exciting! I look forward to my turn at reading this gem. Imagine... it combines my two biggest loves... books and tatting!
ReplyDeleteOh Ann! This is a simply awesome post!
ReplyDeleteYou have communicated the flavour of "Let's Tat", and given your own unique impression of Angeline's experience.
This is precisely what I was hoping would happen when I sent the book abroad, It is wonderful to see another's reaction to this little gem!
Thank you so much for playing the game so heartily!
