Although her name
is not
Marian,
she is INDEED
a
LIBRARIAN
(which has always been a dream job of mine, by the way).
It is a FACT
that
she LOVES lace,
and will often,
"Tat a little,
Pick a little,
Tat a little,
Pick little,
Pick, pick, pick,
Tat allot,
Tat a little more."
because she said as much
once in a comment
on another blog.
SO TO RECAP:
She is
LACE LOVIN'
and
a
LIBRARIAN
and
apparently
also enjoys
The Music Man
(that last bit is pure conjecture on my part).
Name that tatter!
For your viewing pleasure (you'll thank me for the second one later).
Love the press the colours are quite vibrant, and you must also be talking about Dianne!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletethe tatter that you speak of is.. Diane a.k.a Lace-lovin' Librarian!
ReplyDeleteThose are both MIGHTY FINE guesses!
ReplyDelete:) Ann
The one and only "Lace-lovin' Librarian (AKA - Diane).
ReplyDeleteCould it be? Could it be? Could it be? Could it be? Diane C. Diane C. Yes! Yes! Yes! (freely adapted from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat... another of my favorite musicals!)
ReplyDeleteI am honored, excited, please-as-punch, overwhelmed, ecstatic, over-the-moon, etc., etc. etc.! (Think The King and I for the last part, and please use Yul Brynner's accent!)
Thank you for thinking of me! I am so excited! I'm playing my Music Man CD on the way to school today, and every day... until I start playing Christmas music, of course!
Hugs from Marion, Madame Librarian... better known as that little ol' Lace-lovin' Librarian - Diane!
Just watched the video clips... again! Can you see my miles of smiles? My day is made!
ReplyDeleteNo other than Diane!
ReplyDeleteLovely work Ann! Very pretty colors
ReplyDeleteYay, our wonderful, Lace-Lovin Librarian Diane!
MY WORD! And I thought I would have everyone STUMPED! :)))
ReplyDeleteDiane, you have made MY day!!! SO HAPPY you like it! I think I may have to get a Music Man cd - what a great way to start out your day! or maybe The King and I, or Oklahoma!, or Brigadoon, or Sweet Charity... I'll have plenty of humming material today!
:) Ann
Another fabulous press - and wonderful post! Marian, I mean Diane, is a lucky librarian :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to start my day - you are soooo creative.
What a wonderful post! I have never seen that musical, so the clips were new to me! What fun! Hooray for Diane and her beautiful press!
ReplyDeleteYou rock, Ann!
Fox : ))
Another lucky lass. Love those colours too but STILL nowhere NEAR as lovely as mine!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy! It's been a while since I have seen it and I had forgotten how great the Music Man is. It's my favorite next to Oklahoma! (but OK probably has the top spot because I grew up there)
ReplyDeleteOh Fox! You've got a treat in store for you! The Music Man in very entertaining and I defy toes not to tap to that music! AND THANK YOU! I have NEVER been told that I rock - I will let the kids know posthaste! :)))
Sweet Jane, your loyalty is boundless! :)
Diane's press is actually the one I referred to (in my head, because I'm not TOTALLY wacko) as your press's TWIN. They are fraternal twins and share the same binding AND ribbon! That's it though - your press has no other siblings out there.
:) Ann
Your tatting press rocks & it has to be Lace Loving Librarian, Diane. did you see her plaid shuttles? So kewl!
ReplyDeleteOf course I knew it was Diane! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed this cleverly written post AND the movie clips!
"The Music Man" is one of my favorite musicals, and those of you who have never seen it MUST run out and get the DVD right now!!!! It's just fabulous! Great viewing for the Holidays!
And we in Western Pennsylvania are so proud to claim "Marian the Librarian" as one of our own - none other than the beautiful and talented Shirley Jones!!! (Also "Laurey" in Oklahoma and many other roles in her fabulous career!)
Also, I LOVE the costumes in this movie!!! I often think of the talented designers and seamstresses at the movie studios who created them. Bet there was some tatted lace somewhere!
What beautiful work you are doing! Your collection of presses and bags are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy tatting press arrived today, and it is even prettier in person! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could re-tie the bow and have it look as pretty as when it arrived. I think I need some practice!
