The birds may be flying south,
but
the presses are flying north.
This one is for A Happy Bluebird
aka Cindy.
I've got a handful of presses
which I am finishing up
for particular tatters
I have in mind.
They don't even know
that I have them in mind,
so I hope they don't mind!
I'm also working on the pattern
and will make a couple more presses
for a giveaway
to test it out.
Just call me
The Ann With a Plan.
So if you'll excuse me,
I'd better put some hustle
in this bustle!
Ooooh, lucky 'whoever'. That's SO pretty too as well as useful.
ReplyDeleteThe Ann With A Plan and those presses in the air, northward bound is such a visual in my mind!
ReplyDeleteI am mirthful as I read your funny post today!
Love what you have in the clouds!
Fox
Kewl!!!
ReplyDeleteAnn with a Plan has a nice ring to it! Your presses just get cuter and cuter and you are having fun! It shows!
ReplyDeleteThese are great. I'm looking forward to seeing the tutorial so that I can make some of my own :)
ReplyDeleteI love the "Ann with a Plan".
I've been looking forward to you getting the pattern ready for release. I'm so glad it's almost ready.
ReplyDeleteAnn with a plan very original just love it and your presses are really sweet!
ReplyDeleteAm I north? Ami north???? Please let me be north!
ReplyDelete:-)
(shame on you Krystle)
Ann! That looks fabulous! I can't wait to try it out :) You are too kind. For once, I am soooo glad I live NORTH in September. "Ann with a Plan" is a great name for a famous designer, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you everybody! I appreciate all of your nice comments. Gina is right - I am having a lot of fun! I've been getting so much enjoyment from pairing up fabrics from my stash - it is kind of addictive - and I seem to have gotten my sewing groove back.
ReplyDeleteThe tutorial is coming along as well. I am pretty pleased with the pattern pages but want to test them out to make sure. Thanks for your patience while I work out the kinks.
:) Ann
Ann With A Plan, made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of these, or at least the pattern to try to make one myself.
This is a great idea.
Gina is right -- those presses just keep getting cuter and cuter! Your pattern looks so professional -- I'm really impressed -- what app did you use?
ReplyDeleteI thought Ann had a Plan to open an Etsy shop???
Hi Martha!
ReplyDeleteYou are right. Ann DID plan and actually open an Etsy shop, but its "walls" remain bare. There was too much red tape and worries for me right now and I wasn't feeling happy about it in the end. As I made the presses, I kept thinking of them as So-and-so's or SHE likes this color. When I decided to give them away and save the shop for something else, my enthusiasm for the project just swelled! I'm back to having fun.
Thanks for the compliment on my pattern page. I used Adobe Photoshop. Learned a bit more about layers in this version (I think I have 6) and feel much more adept with the program now.

I have a little hand sewn bag I carry my stuff around in, but I must say, this is just such a clever idea, have you thought about getting a patten and marketing it? It really is a great little thing you have here, and I bet you could really do well with it. Very nice indeed, :)
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to publish this post, I was just sending you something I was thinking, sometimes there just aren't enough GOOD tatting tools on the market, but either way, get the copyright for it and send in for pat pend even if you never do anything else with it, that can never be a bad idea, someone will like the idea and copy it for sure. Definitely do NOT delete any of your posts, they are proof of date for when you made/blogged them atleast if someone else lays claim to them :)
Thanks Bri!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your nice comments about the press. I am working on a tutorial to share with everyone soon. I've never made a pattern like this before and I must say I'm pretty excited! HOPEFULLY, I will be able to fully explain how to make them and HOPEFULLY I will get to see them pop up across Tatland. That would be great. Stay posted for the tutorial and I'll be giving a couple away as well!
:) Ann
