I love those colors together.

:) Annsewmuchfun4https://www.blogger.com/profile/09841972052152898574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8040635923924359534.post-236284675075418592010-01-08T00:34:35.156-06:002010-01-08T00:34:35.156-06:00What a great idea for a personalized card. What delicious colors -- I am very partial to multicolored and variegated thread.Marthahttp://www.qisforquilter.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8040635923924359534.post-82779987481608674362010-01-02T19:12:00.915-06:002010-01-02T19:12:00.915-06:00I'm so glad you like the poem, Fox! And yes, ...I'm so glad you like the poem, Fox! And yes, your motif led my mind right to it. It's a beautiful piece and reminded me so much of the droplets of rain and foliage I saw more than five years ago. That poem is a longtime favorite - it is touching, sweet and speaks to the hopes that all parents have for their children to live peaceful, contented lives.

All that said, you must still feel free to tease me about my love of leaves, I think I deserve it. Maybe it's not SO odd. I've lived most of my life in places which don't have many trees to speak of. So you've got to celebrate the ones you see!

:) Annsewmuchfun4https://www.blogger.com/profile/09841972052152898574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8040635923924359534.post-32760060002811147572010-01-02T18:06:54.730-06:002010-01-02T18:06:54.730-06:00Oh, Ann,

It is - like a lot of those poems of days gone by - very touching in a nostalgic, tender way.

I was going to to respond to your comment on my blog with a jocular," Oh Ann, you and your leaves!" Then I put that aside and ambled around a bit online before I saw your posting.

No longer can I respond so lightly to your comment!

Thanks for sharing this poem and for the honour of mentioning my work in the same paragraph!
Fox : )Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12889386206601730189noreply@blogger.com
